LiveWhat does the published scientific research say about Bacillus laevolacticus?
Source: PubMed and scientific literature databases
The cited research characterized the organism's phytase production: optimized shake-flask cultivation yielded 2.957 U/ml of thermostable alkaline phytase, optimally active at 70°C and pH 7.0–8.0. The partially purified enzyme retained approximately 80% activity under those conditions for up to three hours, and showed high specificity for phytate salts (calcium phytate over sodium phytate), with a Km of 0.526 mM against sodium phytate.
