What does the published scientific research say about Myrothecium verrucaria?

Source: PubMed and scientific literature databases

Beyond grapevine, peer-reviewed research reports A. verrucaria inhibiting Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in lettuce (via reduced oxalic acid secretion) and degrading cell walls of Pythium ultimum and Fusarium equisetii. A published endochitinase (MvEChi) from Myrothecium verrucaria is reported to suppress Helicoverpa armigera feeding and inhibit Ustilago maydis and Bipolaris sorokiniana in vitro. A whole-genome sequence (strain CABI-IMI 368023) covers a bioherbicidal isolate studied for kudzu and giant salvinia control.
