What does the published scientific research say about Trichoderma hamatum?

Source: PubMed and scientific literature databases

Multiple biocontrol studies report substantial efficacy against fungal pathogens. Conidial sprays significantly reduced Lasiodiplodia theobromae lesions on macadamia in controlled trials (PMID 36118222). Whole-genome sequencing of a rhizosphere isolate identified 11 antimicrobial biosynthetic gene clusters and plate-assay inhibition rates of 66–70% against three Fusarium root-rot species (PMID 39997420). Volatile organic compounds — principally 6-pentyl-2H-pyran-2-one — are reported in peer-reviewed research to inhibit Neocosmospora solani at 63.77% (PMID 38942473).

On the biostimulant side, root inoculation of leafy Brassica crops is cited in the literature as increasing productivity — kale 55%, cabbage 36%, turnip greens 46% — alongside elevated glucosinolates and antioxidant content (PMID 34834812). A cell-free T. hamatum extract is reported to improve lettuce growth under high salt stress (200 mM NaCl), associated with upregulation of abscisic acid biosynthesis and proline synthesis genes (PMID 41751450).
